Making Lives Safer

We are a new charity which seeks to make lives safer for disadvantaged vulnerable or isolated LGBT+ people, their friends, families and close communities. While legal, economic  and cultural changes in the UK since the 1960’s have helped improved equality and freedom for many LGBT+ people,  LGBT + people still  experience disproportionate  levels of disadvantage and discrimination. At worse people can ‘go back in the closet’ after a lifetime of freedom and self fulfilment and self  expression. This is especially possible at key life stages such as dealing with  ageing, managing different stages of childhood and adulthood,  addressing major health, economic, faith, class, race, culture, employment  or social issues at any age.
